Calder | William Menzies Grant | | | He was educated at Wellington College, and leaving there at the age of twenty he went to South Africa, where he joined the Rhodesia Horse and served through the Matabele rebellion. On the outbreak of the Boer War he joined Colonel Plumer's irregular force, and was wounded in the hip at Eland River in June, 1900, returning invalided to England in November of the same year. | Unknown |
