Fane | Ralph Nevile | | Captain | Died of pneumonia at Wynberg, Cape Colony May 27th, 1900. He was the younger son of Colonel Francis Fane, of Fulbeck, was 30 years of age, and educated at Wellington where he was in the Blucher 1884-86. He was appointed Lieutenant 1889, and promoted Captain 1894. His battalion was embodied January 1900, and Captain Fane volunteering for active service, proceeded with it to South Africa in March and served with it till his death.
