Baker | Joseph William | | Lieutenant & QM | He died from lacerated wounds in the thigh and hip, at Pretoria, May 12th, 1902. As a private and non-commissioned officer he served for twelve years before being advanced to warrant rank, and after another six years' service received his commission July 17th, 1901. He was in his 42nd year, and went out to South Africa in 1899.
