Charleton | Ernest Edward Janvrin | | Captain | He died at Johannesburg January 1st, 1902, from injuries caused by a fall from his horse. He was born in July 1867, entered the Welsh Regiment February 1887, was promoted Lieutenant February 1889, and Captain January 1897. Captain Charleton served in South Africa from the commencement of the war, and was first employed as a Station Commandant and Intelligence Officer. He afterwards held the appointment of Station Staff Officer, and was awarded the medal with five clasps.
