Churchill | Charles Waldo Lionel | | 2nd Lieutenant | He died on April 2nd, 1902, at Klerksdorp, of wounds received in action on March 31st. The only son of Lieutenant Colonel C M Churchill, of Holmwood Park, Wimborne, Dorset, he was in his nineteenth year, and entered the 3rd Battalion Hampshire Regiment in June 1900. He had been employed with the Mounted Infantry in South Africa from December 1901, with the rank of second Lieutenant in the army.
