Caird | Charles Douglas | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Kleinfontein, October 24th, 1901, was born in 1867, and educated at Cheltenham. He was formerly a Captain in the 4th Battalion Devonshire Regiment, and had been serving in South Africa since March 1901, with the 5th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry, composed of Northumberland, Shropshire and Worcestershire Companies. He held the rank of Lieutenant in the army. His name was inscribed on the Eleanor Cross War Memorial erected at Cheltenham College.
