Dudgeon | Patrick Wellwood | | Lieutenant | He died of enteric, at Krugersdorp, December 30th, 1901. He was born June 1878, educated at Uppingham, and entered the 3rd Battalion (Scottish Borderers Militia) in February 1899. In February 1900, he was attached for duty to the 1st Battalion South Lancashire Regiment in South Africa, and in March was granted a commission in the 2nd Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers. In June 1900, he was transferred to the 1st battalion, was promoted Lieutenant May 1901, and served with it up to the time of his death.
