Alderson | James Beaumont Standly | | Captain | He died of wounds received July 7th, 1900, in action at Bethlehem. He was born in July 1869, educated at Highgate School, and entered the Royal Irish Regiment June 1890, being promoted Lieutenant August 1891, and Captain April 1899. He took part in the operations on the North-West Frontier of India, 1897-98, with the Tirah Expeditionary Force, receiving the medal with clasp. Captain Alderson had served with his battalion in South Africa from January 1900.
