Campbell | Harry Alexander | | 2nd Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Vlakfontein, May 29th, 1901. He was a son of Colonel J A Campbell, who saw long service in India. 2nd Lieutenant Campbell joined the Imperial Yeomanry in March 1901, from the Coorg and Mysore Volunteer Rifle Corps. He was with Lumsden's Horse throughout the advance of Field Marshal Earl Roberts from Bloemfontein to Pretoria, and was in several severe engagements, having been wounded while crossing the Vaal River.
