Lloyd | Henry Eyre | | Captain | Died of wounds received in action near Brakenlaagte, October 31st 1901. He was the eldest son of Major General Thomas Francis Lloyd, of Beechmount, Rathkeale, Limerick, was born in May 1871, and educated at Eton. He entered the Coldstream Guards, October 1890, being promoted Lieutenant July 1896 and Captain April 1899. Captain Lloyd had been serving since the beginning of the war, having accompanied his battalion to South Africa in October 1899. He was present at the actions of Graspan, Modder River, Magersfontein, and the advance on Pretoria.
