| Wilson | Alfred Ernest | | Lieutenant Colonel | WILSON, ALFRED ERNEST, Lieutenant Colonel, served in South Africa 1900-2, with Kitchener's Fighting Scouts; was mentioned in Despatches, received the Queen's Medal with four clasps; the King's Medal with two clasps, and was created a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order [London Gazette, 25 June 1902]: "Alfred Ernest Wilson, Lieutenant Colonel, Kitchener's Fighting Scouts. In recognition of services during the operations in South Africa". The Insignia, etc, were sent to the GOC, South Africa, and presented by Lord Milner 21 March 1904.
