Newnham | Percival Forbes | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Spion Kop, January 24th, 1900. He was born in June 1870, educated at Malvern and Clifton Colleges, and entered the Lancashire Fusiliers January 1892, being transferred to the Indian Staff Corps July 1895. At Spion Kop he was hit in two places, and was bleeding to death, but he propped himself upon a rock and continued to fire till a third bullet killed him.
