Hylton-Jolliffe | John C | | Lieutenant | He died from wounds received in action at Paardeberg, February 20th 1900. Educated at Eton, he entered his battalion as a Lieutenant in April 1899, and on the outbreak of the war volunteered for active service. He was then attached for duty to the 2nd battalion in South Africa, and served with it till killed. Lieutenant Hylton-Jolliffe was mentioned in the despatch of Field Marshal Earl Roberts, February 28th, 1900, from Paardeberg, LG February 8th 1901.
