O'Hagan | Lord | | Lieutenant | He died at Springfontein, December 13th, 1900, of enteric. Thomas Towneley O'Hagan, second Baron O'Hagan, of Tullahogue, Tyrone, in the peerage of the United Kingdom, was the son of the first baron, who was twice Lord Chancellor of Ireland, by his second wife, Alice Mary, daughter of Colonel Charles Towneley, of Towneley, Lancashire. He was born in December 1878, educated at the Oratory School, Edgbaston, and entered the Grenadier Guards from the Royal Military College, February 1898, being promoted Lieutenant October 1899. He succeeded his father in the title in 1885. Lieutenant Lord O'Hagan was serving in the 2nd battalion on the outbreak of the war, but he joined the 3rd battalion in December 1899, in order to proceed to South Africa, and served with it up to the time of his death.
