Finch | Edward Harlee | | Lieutenant | He was killed at Frederickstad October 21st, 1900. He was the third son of Henry Finch of Ashurstwood, East Grinstead, Sussex, was born May 1876, and educated at Haileybury. Lieutenant Finch was appointed to the Lancashire Fusiliers September 5th, 1896, and transferred to the Royal Scots Fusiliers the same month, being promoted Lieutenant December 1898. He was assistant-adjutant of his battalion, and had served with the Natal Field Force and in the subsequent advance into the Transvaal. He was working his maxim gun when killed.
