Buxton | Roland Henry | | Lieutenant | He was killed near Sterkfontein December 13th, 1901. He was born in November 1874, educated at Harrow, entered the Norfolk Regiment June 1896, and was promoted Lieutenant December 1897. He served in West Africa in the operations on the Niger, 1897-98, being mentioned in despatches May 23rd, 1899, and was employed with the West African Frontier Force from February 1898, to February 1900. He then proceeded to South Africa and saw service there during 1900-01.
