Foulerton | Alexander Francis Grant | | Major | He died at Vrede January 5th, 1901. He was born March 1859, and educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond. He entered the 109th Foot from the Royal Aberdeenshire Highlanders Militia, October 1880, being promoted Lieutenant July 1881, Captain September 1886, and Major March 1896. Major Foulerton served in the Sikkim Expedition, 1888, when he was in charge of the signallers, and received the medal with clasp. He was adjutant of Militia April 1895, to April 1900, when he was appointed second-in-command of his battalion, and joined it in South Africa, serving with it up to the time of his death.
