Lascelles | Alfred | | Lieutenant | He died on May 16th, 1900, at Bloemfontein of enteric. He was born in September 1873, educated at Marlborough, and entered the Royal Artillery in April 1893, and was promoted Lieutenant April 1896. He embarked for South Africa in December 1899, and took part in the battle of Paardeberg and the advance on Bloemfontein. His name was inscribed on a tablet placed in Marlborough College Chapel in memory of all Marlburians who fell in the war.
