Godfrey-Faussett | Fermor | | Captain | He died at Paardeberg February 20th, 1900, from the effects of an accidental gunshot wound. He was born September 1870, was educated at Marlborough, and entered the Buffs from the 4th Battalion Leinster Regiment September 1892, being promoted Lieutenant July 1895, and Captain November 1899. Captain Godfrey-Faussett embarked for South Africa with his battalion in December 1899, and served with the 6th Division in the advance to Klip Drift and Paardeberg. His name was inscribed on a tablet placed in Marlborough College Chapel in memory of all Marlburians who fell in the war.
