Palmer | Arthur Percy | | Lieutenant | PALMER, ARTHUR PERCY, Lieutenant, served in the South African War with the Imperial Yeomanry and South African Constabulary. For his services he received the Queen's Medal with three clasps; the King's Medal with two clasps, and was created a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order [London Gazette, 27 September 1901]: "Arthur Percy Palmer, Lieutenant, 11th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. In recognition of services during the operations in South Africa". The Insignia, Warrant and Statutes were sent to the GOC, Transvaal, 3 February 1903, and presented by the GOC, South Africa, at Pretoria, 25 March 1903. He became Lieutenant, Reserve of 0fficers and Captain Reserve Cavalry. He was killed in action 27 September 1915.
