MillsGeorge Ernest2nd LieutenantHe was killed in action at Moedwill (7 miles east of Magota Nek), 30 September 1901. He was born November 1882 and entered the Derbyshire Regiment from the 4th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment (Hertfordshire Militia), May 1901. 2nd Lieutenant Mills was mentioned in despatches by General Lord Kitchener, 8 October 1901, for "his example and disregard of danger".
