Hodge | William Buller Chapell | | Captain | He died November 1st, 1900, of wounds received the previous day in action at Cypherfontein. He was the only son of Chapell Hodge of Pounds, near Plymouth, was born April 1865, and educated at Eton. He entered the 12th Lancers from the 3rd Battalion Devonshire Regiment May 1887, being promoted Lieutenant July 1888, and Captain December 1892, but afterwards retired. He joined the Imperial Yeomanry February 1900, with the rank of Captain in the army.
