Goff | William Ernest Davis | | Captain | He was killed in action during a reconnaissance between Blood River and Vryheid May 20th, 1900. He was born June 1872, and educated at Wellington, where he was in Kempthorne's, 1886-1889. He entered the 3rd Dragoon Guards March 1892, being promoted Lieutenant June 1893, and Captain April 1899. Captain Goff was killed while leading his men in an attack on the enemy, and was mentioned in despatches, LG, February 8th, 1901, for his services.
