Bailey | Edward Burden | | Captain | Died from accidental injuries at Port Elizabeth February 15th, 1901. He formerly belonged to this battalion and was promoted Captain in May 1886, but had retired. On his old corps being embodied and placed under orders for South Africa, Captain Bailey was re-appointed in January 1900, and served with it during the war, and had been slightly wounded. He was mentioned in despatches, LG 10th September 1901, for his services.
