Courtenay | George Edward | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action near Paardeberg, February 18th, 1900. He was born in March 1875, educated at Wellington (where he was in Saunders' House), and entered the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders from the Royal Military College in February 1895, being promoted Lieutenant October 1897. He was serving with the Mounted Infantry. This officer's death is mentioned in the despatch of Field Marshal Earl Roberts, from Paardeberg, February 28th, 1900.
