CGHGSM (1) Bechuanaland (Nat. Det. Xelegwana. C. Pce.)

Xelegwana joined the Cape Police, District No. 1, on 8 September 1896, and was discharged, time expired, on 31 October 1902.

The write-up says:

MID 10th September, 1901.

We note that he is on the roll for the South Africa Medal and entitled to the clasp 1878.

W.M. Shenk is on the Roll of the Cape Mounted Riflemen on the Cape of Good Hope General Service Medal, entitled to the Basutoland and Bechuanaland clasps.

Medals are about good very fine, the Cape Medal has a small area of erasure, where the rank has been changed from SERGEANT to CAPT. and the W is re-engraved
