I was pleased to acquire Trooper Claude Leonard Bell’s QSA & ‘14 Star Trio (above) today. The medals have been court mounted for display. Through some initial research, there is more to Bell than what’s been written - more to come.

In Pearse's book, Tpr. Claud Leonard Bell of LH is shown as a member of No.1 section of A coy; hailing from Sunyat concern, Mozufferpore, Tirhoot district. He was an Indigo Planter. He is mentioned otherwise once in Pearse's book on p.384 as returning to Bombay Harbour on the "Atlantian" on December 31. He is not mentioned in the index as having his portrait included.
Regards
IL.

Hi everyone. Just giving my search for a set of Lumsden's Horse medals a bump.

They were sold by DNW in 2009 but attempts to track them through that went cold.

www.dnw.co.uk/auction-archive/past-catal...d=158&lot_uid=178511

Previous attempts were on this thread: www.angloboerwar.com/forum/5-medals-and-...hart-lumsden-s-horse

Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated! Thanks.
