In Thorneycroft's "Unbuttoned", "982 Pte. Evan Evans" served with TMI's Maxim detachment from 1/1/1900 to 10/5/01 and then to A Coy until the end of Hostilities. Intermediate service with Steinackers Horse, 2ILH and UVMP. Woolmore's "Steinaecker's Horsemen" gives some more bio info for those interested in this interesting example of a TMI QSA.

IL.
