This is a superb Trio. I am almost sure that this group or at least a very similar group is/was for sale locally.

Did Moule go on to serve in WW1 or is this Moules full entitlement.

Magnificent I had to have a double take at that picture you posted of Abraham's Pair. Only one of 9 or 10 or so KSA's awarded to the NP. What a pleasure seeing that. I don't recall ever seeing the group at one of our meetings. You must bring it along to the next get together.

In order to have been awarded the Empire Beyond the Seas LS medal, I think Moule must have served with the SAMR after the NP ceased to exist, but he may not have qualified for the WWI trio. Those SA Mounted Riflemen who were not on active service did not get the medals. I have such a group to a Court Constable.

PS I forgot to thank David for posting the photo of Moule's group. Thank you, David! Although I have stopped collecting them, I still think that NMP/NP/SAMR medals make an excellent focus for a medal collection.

Thanks for the reply. It would be interesting to have a look in the SADF Archives and see if Moule did indeed see active service in GSWA or not.

Brett, I agree with your comment about the Natal Police and I also feel the same about the CP/CMP/SAMR. So much scope for the collector.

Thanks, Adrian. The Vinnicombe biography I ordered seems to have vanished into the black hole section of the SA Post Office, together with an envelope from Frank. I still hope for two miracles.
