Volunteer,
Brilliant. I was hoping someone would come forward with a decent photo of this medal.
Is this the one that surfaced on eBay many moons ago?

Andrew,
So far, only the medals have been loaded.
Hopefully I will one day get round to dealing with the watches and all the other wonderful (and sometimes quite weird) tributes.
For the time being, however, the tribute medals are keeping me pretty busy! I am gradually adding new images and information as they come in. I will also be loading newspaper cuttings (or links to reports) to all listings.

Thank you Andrew,

New page here: Wombwell Working Men's Club

I have been unable to find any record for Private William Gascoigne (21st & 17th Lancers). Any ideas?

Also, do you have the date for the Wombwell Guardian article?

How about "5183 Pte. W.Gascoigne, 17L". QSA clasps CC/OFS/DH/Joh.
There have been many really interesting tribute medals shown here. I had no idea they were so widely awarded.
Regards
IL.

Yes, just found him a moment ago.
Service number changed from 3111 to 5183 (no service records under 5183).

Andrew, any chance of a better photo of the obverse of the medal?
