Quite frankly, I lost interest in salerooms in general and this one in particular, around fifteen years, or so ago, there is still something to be said for buying at retail, if the price is right, after all, you can not be left disappointed, notwithstanding, I've always felt some of the very best often sells privately therefore, it does not enter the market, even these days, that has been the case for me on many occasions.

Frank, I agree. Although I do buy from auctions, most of my better buys have been from retailers such as Chris Dixon, London Medals, Liverpool Medals etc. and not forgetting the Britannia Medal Fair which always throws up some fantastic opportunistic buys.

Had a quick scout around but did not see any Rhod or SA01s.

Thanks for that. My searches have turned up similarly. "Rhodesia" is going to be the difficult one. A replica set might act as a fill-in (slipped onto the ribbon) until I can get the real things.
