I recently purchased QSA with 4 bars to Pte DJ Howe CC, OFS, SA01 & 02; Cape Police distr 1; when I tried checking the name on the forum list all I got
' no record ' response.
Can you cast more light on this chap please? Service record or perhaps a medal roll? Where can I search?

Are you sure the medal is not named to O.J (Owen James) Howe ?

He has no extant attestation papers in Cape Town but there will be an entry in the enlistment registers. I have his roll pages if you would like a copy.
