BILLINGFORD.

PRESENTATION.

A very pleasant evening was spent on July 29th, at the Imperial Yeomanry Detail Camp, Elandsfontein (Transvaal), on the occasion of the presentation of a double gold Albert watch chain and pendant, being made by Regimental Sergt.-Major Mantle (late 43rd Company Imperial Yeomanry) to Lieut. E.F. FLOWERDEW, 25th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry, on behalf of the N.C.O.’s and men of the 118th Imperial Yeomanry (25th Battalion) as a token of the great respect in which he was held during his service with the Company. The inscription on the pendant was: – “Presented to Lieut. E.F. Flowerdew, by N.C.O.’s and men of the 118th Imperial Yeomanry”. Lieut. E.F. FLOWERDEW served with the 43rd Imperial Yeomanry in 1900-1, and received his commission in the 25th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. He is a son of Mr Flowerdew of this parish.
