Petre | Joseph Lucius Henry | | Captain | He was killed in action at Spion Kop, January 24th, 1900. He was the youngest son of William Bernard, twelfth Lord Petre, was thirty three years of age, a good sportsman and bold rider. He was educated at a model school at Woburn Park, kept by his elder brother, Monsignor Petre, and afterwards at St Augustine's, Ramsgate. He was serving with Thorneycroft's Mounted Infantry at the time of his death, and was mentioned in despatches, LG, February 8th, 1901.
