MeyerCoenraad FrederickAsst VeldkornetDTD, ABO (Asst. V. Kornet. C.F. Meyer). Coenraad Frederick Meyer, an assistant veldkornet of Paulpietersburg was attached to the Republican forces from 20th September, 1899, when the burghers were called up, until 13th June, 1902, when all weapons were laid down. He received the D.T.D. in September 1921 for services rendered during the Boer War at Dundee, Ladysmith, Helpmekaar, Spierhoek, Talana, Louwsburg, Kambula, Utrecht, and Rooivoetpad. He was also entitled to wear the special wound ribbon (Lint Voor Verwonding Opgedaan Gedurende de AngloBoer Oorlog). Meyer died at Standerton in October, 1950, aged 79. DNW May 92 no saleBoer Forces
