Frank,

Would you have a look at a roll page for me please?

It is WO100/144p75 (1 pdr Maxims)

Many of the entries are crossed through but there a note at the top saying 'These entries stand'.

On line 1, Cpl Faithful has RoM & Tr and a note saying his QSA was issued on 31 Oct 1904.

Would you agree that medals were issued to all the men who were crossed through on this and other pages?

Many thanks
David

On my copy of the QSA roll for Pom Pom Sections, Royal Artillery, under the column heading "If application for Queens South Africa Medal already made, on what Roll name was submitted" Gunner D.Morgan's entry shows "Pom Pom Depot".
I have searched my CD for QSA to RA and I simply cannot find a medal roll titled "Pom Pom Depot". Either I am looking in the wrong place - or it is included under a different heading. Several Gunners are shown as having "Pom Pom Depot" as originally submitted roll on the page I have before me so one would think it is somewhere.
Regards
IL.

Hello Ian,
I really would not worry about it, individual folio in WO100 are not always found where one would expect to find them, some are in a very poor condition and I dare say, some are lost to us forever, your man is certainly entitled to all his clasps.

Thanks for that. I really wasn't worried about the clasp entitlement; that is quite clear. It was just that I thought the "originally submitted roll" might have a little more info about our man. I am sure you know what it is like to see perhaps a few initials or a word or two to fill in any gaps.
Thanks again.
IL.
