These little tid bits of information really do help me to understand the multiple units and their organization during the ABW.
As you say, I should be prepared to be disappointed, as some papers may not still be available, but perhaps a good researcher will be able to dig out a few pieces of info, which will only aid in understanding further my mans` service in SA at the start of the twentieth century.
