TOPIC:

One of the tempting QSAs in the forthcoming City Coins list is the no clasp medal to 6 Pte N W Kruger of Elliot Border Scouts .

Other than the facts that 76 medals are recorded on the medal roll and their entitlement to CC was disallowed, I don't know very much about this unit.

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

I also know nothing about the unit, except that, taking account returned medals and medals issued off rolls of other units, there are only approximately 30 QSA's named to the EBS.

Captain and commanding officer of the Xalanga Border Mounted Rifle Club in 1907. Medal returned 5 January 1909 and reissued 16 June 1922.
