Described as: Frank Lock served in the Second Anglo- Boer War with ‘F’ Squadron of the Colonial Scouts and is confirmed on the medal rolls. The medal rolls state that he also served as a Lieutenant with the Canadian Scouts, and with the Midland Mounted Rifles, with whom he received the latter 2 clasps.Serving later during the Great War, his M.I.C. shows a complicated history of service with as Captain with the Royal Fusiliers, as a Private in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, and showing pervious service with the Colonial Scouts, Midland Mounted Rifles and Canadian Scouts. It also shows entitlement to an S.W.B., and indeed to and I.G.S. 1854-95 with 3 clasps. His Great War medals are also confirmed on the rolls and were issued 13 August 1932.
