If you are interested & these figures include all ranks.
Bangalore 210 bronze medals ( Madras)
Sirhind 257 bronze medals ( Punjab)
Mooltan 108 bronze medals (Punjab)
Secunderabad 359 bronze medals (Madras)
Potentially 934 medals named to districts
Measured up against total rank of "syce"on the rolls ( of all units ) 4,335
Total number of bronze medal 9083 (of all ranks and units)
So potentially between 10 & 20 % of medals to S&TC would have the district incised with the name

Another 80min Masterclass in sushi making by
in case anyone missed it :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
Looking for Salutries, Salootries and Veterinary Duffadars.
I collect primarily QSAs to Indian Recipients.

David
It is very cruel to mock your defeated enemies! However, I will admit that it was a well-deserved victory over a very arrogant and unlikeable team that deserved to be taught a lesson.

Collectors interested in the 17th Bengal Lancers- and I know that there is at least one other, might enjoy the following item.

The letter is addressed to "Respected" Major E.B. Burton 17th Lancers, Rawalpindi, Ambala, by 688 Sowar Salutri Abbas Khan, 17th Lancers, No 4 Field Veterinary Hospital, Kroonstad. Abbas Khan was rewarded with the Queen's Medal with three colony clasps and the King's Medal. This same combination was also given to Syce Ishar Bali and Sardar Din whose medals are known ( although the King's Medal in bronze was not authorised) so I presume they also served with the Veterinary Hospital.
Looking for Salutries, Salootries and Veterinary Duffadars.
I collect primarily QSAs to Indian Recipients.
