The medals to Capt. Sir E A Stewart- Richardson arrived on Monday. I havn’t had a good look at the contents of the package as yet ( work week). The group fills a vacancy in the collection as I didn’t have a QSA with battle clasps to the 1st Qld Cont.
There is a WW2 group included with a MID and the medals are still in the boxes.
Correction, I somehow thought he was 1st Contingent, but after looking at the medal rolls he is 2nd Contingent. Not a big difference in my opinion, the 2 nd Cont was smaller in numbers.

It’s not restraint David, it’s a fact of life. The light upstairs isn’t good for looking at naming on medals at the best of time. I leave for work before dawn and arrive home after dark. Day off tomorrow, I’ll take them downstairs in natural light and hopefully admire the period engraving on the QSA. There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of paperwork with the medals so there will be some furious googling in the near future.
