I’ve got it. There are many examples and background inflation, but the bulk is a medal roll that seems to be a reproduction of the earlier published one.

I just got it off the shelf. A bit under half of the book looks like the roll. The details are the same but it is grouped into for example the politicians, the railways etc.

The first half of the book is the history, and group of recipient by group with pictures of medals and biographies where known. It’s the type of information you get from a medal auction catalogue.

I think this is the Gysbert Henry Stockenstrom, identified in the picture with other notable South African personalities.
