Reading his bio is see the following: "As such he became a leader of the failed Jamison raid in 1895"

Mike

Thank you for drawing attention to that posting. The Karri-Davies medals are a 'must have' for anyone with an interest in the Imperial Light Horse. Also, a few years ago, a librarian friend in Perth unearthed a mass of documentation in local archives dealing with K-D and his family, so they are a significant part of Australian history as well.

I hope they find a good home where they will be appreciated for their historical significance, and not one where they will simply be regarded as a good financial investment.

Regards
Brett

Good spot Mike, always amazed what turns up for sale.

The QSA and KSA are named in a WW1 style - which indicates these are more than just late issues. Is the BWM sole entitlement for WW1?

I've not dug into the medal rolls yet to confirm if the QSA and KSA are duplicate issues.

But, a very important man nonetheless.

Wouldn't there be a decoration or two or even a Coronation?

A quick squiz at the KSA roll shows that it was issued in August 1926 so well spotted Meurig.

The biography below is from an old post in the British Medals Forum, but I have not recorded the original source. Amongst other things, it answers Rory's question about honours.

Thanks Brett. So if he died November 1926 someone claimed his medals 3 months before his passing. Interesting.
