I tell you, Chris is very clued up on the African campaigns and has some incredible medals relating to Nigeria, East Africa etc. He had a superb pair with him that you just don't see in SA,the Central Africa medal with the Royal Niger Company medal in bronze. I am embarrassed to say that I can't remember the recipients name however, the Niger medal was numbered only as it should be, 1488 or was it 1448 ??

You certainly need to pop over again for a visit.

I forgot to mention the group that Chris showed that really had me doing cartwheels.

A group of 4 to Captain C.S Marsh Cape Police late Landreys Light Horse and FAMP.

SAGS medal to the FAMP
CGHGS medal with 3 clasps (one of 23)
QSA which included the DOM clasp
KSA with usual 2 clasps

Hello Adrian,
The Cape medal is worth having anyway, but, in a group like that, the time to buy this sort of thing was twenty five years ago, almost impossible now and no longer affordable for normal collectors.

You are absolutely right. That group would we worth taking a loan on the house for.

David,yes,as far as a Cape Police collector is concerned that group is about as good as it gets.

Oh Well, at least I had the opportunity to hold them!!!!
