Hi.
I have the w.w.1 medals of 88332 William Barrell R.A
I have been told he was in the R.E in 1902 Boer War
My information is he served in 3 wars Boer war -w.w1 -then in w.w.2 Home guard.
Has anyone any idea about his service in 1902

There was 347 Driver W Barrell who served in the REs during the Boer War. He served in A Pontoon Troop and was invalided 28 June 1900.

Forget that. That W Barrell is Walter from Stowmarket, Suffolk, so not your man.

I thought her served about 1902,Wikki tree shows him as a Driver in R. E , Cause they could be wrong

I think the 347 is Walter not William Barrell.

If you can access his service papers, that should tell you his prior service.
