Hi,

My name is Percy Eugene Cartwright Jnr. 70 year old, Maltese born living in Australia. My Great grand father enlisted in England, and was told that he served in the Boer War. I am interested to find out what happened to him. Thanks.

Hello, Percy, and welcome to the forum.

Do you have a name for your great grandfather or any other information about him?

This is all I have, down below in the attachments... Besides some family lore, which I find very doubtful.

If you need anything else, do please let me know.
Another reason, for my search, is that if I have proper proof that my Great Grand father, served in the Boer Wars, maybe at my age of 70, I might be able to March on Anzac Day, here in Australia where I live.

Regards and thanks for your response.

Neither battalion of the old 19th, 1st Yorkshire Regiment took part in the Transvaal War and I would suggest that he took no part in the Anglo Boer War either.
