Hello David,

I came across this QSA whilst checking a few dealers lists. I would think that this would be an extremely rare combination of clasps particularty that it is to the SAC. However, the roll pages on which Young would appear are according to the write up missing!! He is not listed in your book under the SAC section. Any thoughts as to whether this is all good??

This is the write up:

Awarded to 3rd Class Trooper (No.1329) W.H. Young, who served with C Division, South African Constabulary during the Boer War, and was discharged on 15th January 1902. Unfortunately the roll containing Young's medal and clasp entitlement for the battle and state clasps to the Queen's South Africa Medal do not survive, however the roll for the date clasps does survive and confirms that Young is additionally entitled to the South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 clasps.

Good morning Adrian,
The roll is not missing and the medal is verified in WO100/272, but, not for that combination.

Thanks Frank,

I have just got into the office from a business trip and I have left my flash drive with the rolls at home.

What is his correct entitlement??

Just the usual three state bars and two date bars, no mention of additional pre service either!

With discharge date shown as the 15th of January
