Hello Ian,
Well, I think that, given the numbers actually issued, once it comes down to under one hundred medals actually issued to a particular regiment, with a particular clasp combination, it does become like looking for a needle in the proverbial haystack.

Ian,

That's a very lovely pair. Thanks for sharing and I am pleased they have found a custodian who certainly understands and values such treasures.

Cheers
Stephen

That was a wonderful acquisition and I am very pleased (and relieved) that the medals finally arrived at their new home. I have often been tempted to buy a Fusilier 'double relief', but so far I have managed only two to the Imperial Light Horse (Capt D F Gilfillan and 166 Tpr L T James)
Regards
Brett

I appreciate your comments. You may be interested to know that I missed out on the "double relief" to Tpr. L.T. James of the ILH in the City Coins auction 59. Whilst IL may not "get out much", the Newman "double relief" is the only such seen since then. I am pleased that a fellow forum member secured the L.T.James QSA.

That comment takes IL back to the mid/lateish 60's: "Two cans per man, per day, per-haps" :P
