Ladismith is a small town some 300km east of Cape Town.  During the Boer war, it fielded a small Town Guard of some 75 men who all received no clasp QSAs.

Medals were named to the Ladismith Town Guard and the Ladismith Reserve Town Guard, around 50 and 17 respectively.

Ladismith is frequently confused with Ladysmith.
