WARRACKNABEAL.

Tuesday.

Private Richard GARDINER, a member of the first contingent to South Africa, received an enthusiastic welcome on his arrival in Warracknabeal last night. He was presented with one gold medal by the Rangers and another by Mr Phares Phillips, M.L.C.

WARRACKNABEAL.

Private GARDINER, of the First Victorian Contingent, returned to Warracknabeal, was met at the railway station by a large crowd of townspeople and the Rangers. A procession, headed by the brass band, paraded the streets, and a smoke night was held in his honour. Private GARDINER was presented with gold medals by the Rangers, and by Mr Phillips, M.L.C.

WARRACKNABEAL.

Private W. SMITH, of Warracknabeal, has been presented with a gold medal by the Warracknabeal section of the Victorian Rangers. Private SMITH has lately returned from South Africa. The presentation was made by Captain T.W. Palmer.
